Building A Jewish Future
The goal of the Judaic curriculum is to instill in our students a love of Jewish tradition, values, Israel and the Hebrew language. This love is reflected in the observances of Shabbat, prayer (Tfila) and Torah commandments.
From Nursery through 8th Grade, an environment is created to allow for the practices of Jewish values on a daily basis through prayers, songs and observances. Our graduates continue to carry with them joyful memories of Jewish traditions that become part of their adult lives. In addition to Shabbat and holidays, our students celebrate other special occasions. Their first Siddur (prayer book) is received at the end of grade one with a performance and presentation. Our 5th Grade students learn to read from the Torah in preparation for their Bar/ Bat Mitzvah celebrations. As the Jewish people received the Torah on Shavuot, so too do our students receive a Tikkun (an edition of the Torah used for its chanting). Our middle school children continue their Judaic studies on an advanced level.
